An authentic insight on the artist
Karen Fabbro is an Italian-Colombian artist working in the fields of sculpture and the visual arts. She was born in Verona in 1999, where she attended art school, graduating in 2017. She moved to Florence to study at the Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in 2021 (a three-year degree in Figurative Arts and Sculpture) and in 2024 (a Master’s degree in New Expressive Languages and Sculpture).
Karen Fabbro’s artistic practice is multifaceted, ranging from more traditional materials such as terracotta, bronze, alabaster and resin; to ready-made everyday objects; and extending to 3D modelling and video art. She currently works from her art studio in Prato.

She wins the 2022 BEST EMERGING ARTIST AWARD and the 2022 TALENT PRIZE at Paratissima, Turin.

In 2023, Karen Fabbro held her first solo exhibition, “Il non ritorno”, curated by Ksenia Yarosh, at the Cavallerizza Reale in Turin.
In 2025, she held her second solo exhibition, “Sotto Sotto”, curated by Monica Cremaschi, at Open Art House in Ivrea (Turin).
In 2023, Karen Fabbro exhibited at the LONDON BIENNALE.
She took part in ‘CHROMA’ at the Virgilio Sieni Contemporary Art Gallery, Florence, in 2023.
In 2023, she exhibited at ‘ONDA D’URTO’, an exhibition held at the Milan Cultural Centre (CMC) and organised by Jelmoni Studio Gallery.
In 2024, Karen Fabbro takes part in the group exhibition ‘Immenso Blu’ at the Galata Museo del Mare, Genoa, curated by Gina Affinito.
She exhibits at the Arte Borgo Gallery, Rome, in the exhibition ‘Around Rome’ curated by Anna Isopo, 2024.
In 2025, she exhibited at the group exhibition “Whatsart”, organised by Fondente Arte in collaboration with Galleria La Fonderia, Florence.
She took part in the group exhibition “Natale a Palazzo”, curated by Lucia Raveggi, at the Bellini Museum, Florence.
